Mary Midgley: a celebration

A new collection of writing from Philosophy and the Royal Institute of Philosophy supplements is now free to access online.

In celebration of Mary Midgley’s birthday, we’re delighted to announce that a new collection of Midgley’s writings in Philosophy and the Royal Institute of Philosophy supplements has been made free to access online by Cambridge University Press.

The anthology has been specially curated by Midgley experts Clare Mac Cumhaill and Rachael Wiseman, who have also supplied an introduction to this fantastic resource, and includes Midgley’s pieces on morality, games, bereavement and the concept of ‘beastliness’.

You can access the full collection here.
