Special Interest Event series: Philosophy and the Law

The Royal Institute of Philosophy is excited to announce the launch of our Special Interest Event series on Philosophy and the Law.

The Royal Institute of Philosophy is excited to announce the launch of our Special Interest Event series on Philosophy and the Law, bringing together legal professionals, academics, ethicists and specialists from a range of sectors, to navigate the fundamental principles that govern our lives.

Philosophy and the law have long been intertwined; many legal professionals study philosophy or jurisprudence before entering practice, and understanding the philosophical underpinnings of our legal frameworks is vital to help us to think more clearly about legislative decisions.

Join TRIP’s Law Special Interest events and become part of our growing community of lawyers, philosophers and other thinkers. Law Special Interest events give individuals the opportunity to:

  • Be part of cutting edge legal, ethical, and philosophical debates
  • Connect with leading philosophy and law experts
  • Following each talk, attend an exclusive networking drinks reception

As part of the development of this new event series in the exploration of Philosophy and the Law, you can purchase multiple corporate tickets for this event series.

Tickets for our forthcoming event, Mental Illness and Exoneration in the Law, are now available. It is the first in our special interest series on Philosophy and the Law, events are planned in February and July 2027.
