2024 Book Prize Longlist Announced

The Royal Institute of Philosophy are pleased to announce the longlist for the 2024 Nayef Al-Rodhan International Book Prize in Transdisciplinary Philosophy. 

The Royal Institute of Philosophy has today unveiled the longlist for the 2024 Nayef Al-Rodhan International Prize in Transdisciplinary Philosophy.   

Now in its second year, this award celebrating exceptional discipline-transcending works has seen an impressive increase in high-quality submissions trying for a chance at the £20,000 annual prize.   

The following publications have been chosen for this year’s longlist by the judging panel: 

On last year’s outstanding prize-winner, The Right to Sex by Amia Srinivasan, Chair of the judging panel Professor Constantine Sandis, Director of Lex Academic and Visiting Professor of Philosophy at the University of Hertfordshire, remarked that: 

“Amia Srinivasan’s The Right to Sex is an extraordinary book that transcends disciplinary barriers. The author encourages readers to think with her through fundamental questions about gender, class, race, and power that are of utmost significance to the understanding of human behaviours. Every person in the world should read this brilliant book as soon as they can.”
